Before buying a craft object, check six areas: its maker, materials and methods, evidence for recognition claims, total cost, delivery and after-sales arrangements.
- Who made the item, and who is selling it? Can you check their identities?
- Are materials, dimensions and methods clear? Do the images show the actual item or a sample?
- Which record supports any claim about heritage recognition or a recognised practitioner?
- What currency is the price in? Who pays delivery, taxes and other possible charges?
- Can it be delivered to your country or region? How long is delivery expected to take, and is tracking provided?
- If an item arrives damaged, differs from its description, or needs returning or exchanging, whom should you contact and within what time limit? Ask the seller to clarify missing information and retain their replies before deciding to pay.
What remains to check after reading product information?
On 1 October 2026, the Style 636 product page displayed “$360.00” and the seller’s descriptions of material, half-handmade production and capacity. This check has not confirmed the currency, current availability or maker. These remain seller claims, insufficient to refresh our old offer as verified. (Checked 2026-10-01.)
The shipping and returns policy read that day requires international destinations to be confirmed at checkout, where shipping is calculated; import charges are additional. The seller’s responsibility excludes a forwarding shipment’s second leg. Teaware returns have a 30-day limit and unused-condition requirement, generally for exchange or store credit; the seller does not cover international return postage. (Checked 2026-10-01.)
Our purchase entry remains paused: direct delivery to Australia and China, total cost, current availability, and seller and maker identities have not all been verified. We did not add an item to a cart, submit an address, contact the seller or order. Questions needing current information, such as delivery and stock, cannot be settled by an old product page or heritage listing alone. Also read the Yixing clay guide to methods and recognition.
